Under the Weather

… which is dark, wet, and foggy. I keep expecting giant arachnids to step out of the mist, but have so far been disappointed. Being cooped up at home, forces your brain to go crazy places sometimes. I have a new novel sewing its seeds, and it is (of all things) looking like a YA princess story?! I think I must be going nuts.

In the meantime I shall leave you with some non-flu induced pretties. A bit of summer in the Rockies.

Emerald Lake. Postcard perfect.
That’s me, canoeing! The water is this unreal shade of blue.
Some place it would be unwise to canoe.

    1. It’s still just a little kernel of a story, but not yet a story! It’s incubating right now. I have a strong feeling that this one’s going to grow up and have plot babies! hee hee I’ll tell you more then!

  1. Oh my goodness, those pictures are GORGEOUS. I can’t get over the color of that water. Beautiful.

I hope you feel better soon! At least the new novel is helping to take your mind off things?

    1. Thanks Shari! It does feel like a little bit of madness though. Ideas buzzing around, but I’m not sure if they’re fever dreams, or real viable gems of possibility. I’m still glad they showed up though :)

  2. Those are some very nice pics. Makes me quite envious of the beautiful surroundings you’ve got there. I think I could spend weeks in a place like that and still not want to leave.

    Hope you feel better soon!

  3. That water color is unreal! Very beautiful. :D

I’m not feeling so great, either, lately. :/ Just taking it easy, drinking lots of water and hoping it passes soon!

  4. What great pictures.

A YA princess story, huh? Sounds interesting. Could go a lot of different ways. After all, both Twilight and Let the Right One In are vampire love stories, but they’re pretty different.

Hope you (and Tiyana) get better soon.
