I work in the optical industry, and I know that when people are surveyed, losing their sight is their #1 fear. They'd rather lose a leg or an arm. I'm glad you're doing better!

Yeah even on a normal day its kind of overwhelming. Sensory overload! Too many little things everywhere. I can never leave without buying something though hehe.

I pretty much know our IKEA store backwards & forwards, lol, but it's crazy how easy it is to start feeling overwhelmed when shopping there... Compound that with getting lost & I'd probably cry, too!

But yes, thank God for those squiggly red lines... ;)

I'm glad it all worked out, and yes, an enforced break can have real benefits. But if you're not supposed to be on the computer, how did you write the blog post? (I'd look stern, but I don't think there's an emoticon for that. :-) )

Aww (but also lol?) at the IKEA story. I hope you can see how it's kind of funny in retrospect. (I assume yes, since you wrote about it.) I'm glad you're feeling better. You've been missed! By the way, was this elective or essential eye surgery? Was it Lasik? I'm always wondering if I should do Lasik someday...
